Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Reno.

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

I am German and have always been fascinated by the wide open spaces in the American West and also by discarded junk and relics by the wayside. The deserted ghost town of Gold Point, Nevada , situated off the beaten path between Reno and Las Vegas, with the Sierra Nevada as backdrop, is my kind of place! There, on a cold February day, I found these two abandoned VWs, reminded me of my very first VW way back when in Germany. Photo was made with I phone 15 Pro Max, 24mm, f1.78

Always fascinated by discarded relics on the wayside, I recently went to the deserted but well preserved old mining town of Gold Point, Nevada. Off the beaten path, nobody was there, it was a cold February day and I had my kind of a field day! This photo was made with I phone 15, then edited in Photoroom with selective color highlighting.

I saw this and it reminded me of Ansel Adams famous "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico" photo. I waited for nearly an hour for the moon to appear.

I was sitting on the side of the road waiting to see if the moon was going to come out from behind some clouds so I could capture a photo with the moon over the desert, sort of an ohmage to Ansel Adams famous "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico" photo. I turned around and saw this photo so I snapped the photo.

While visiting Cannon Beach, Oregon for Spring Break this year, we were treated to beautiful blue skies, warm weather, stars AND airglow at night! I was absolutely giddy about seeing those stars! Now I hope you all know how extremely rare this combination is on the pacific coast in spring. It's normally overcast and raining and definitely no stars to be seen. Thank you universe for allowing your magic to flow this evening. I truly appreciate you and your powers ??

to create this I used a piece of Teal vinyl for the backdrop, I had the camera, with a 30 mm Marco lens on a tripod set to manual focus, with focus staking of 10 shots I only used 5 in the end). for lighting I had two static lights on mini stands so I could play about with their placement to get the effect I was looking for. The dandelion seed was held in place, by putting it into a piece of white tack, I then sprayed it using a little electronic face atomiser (bought from Amazon) and loa

Decided to make a composite that resembles the photo that NASA took with their millions of dolllar photo equipment. 2 months ago I photographed the full moon and placed it on top of the most recent solar eclipse photo I took. The moon normally get its light from the sun so getting the perspective with moon visibility is impossible during an eclipse unless you have nasa gear. My photo was taken with a canon R5, RF400mm F2.8 and cropped in.
